6 Months

6 months down and only 4 to go! Everything is going well and as you can see my belly is growing by the day! I have gained about 10 lbs and my vitals and the baby's heartbeat and growth are right on track so far. I have started experiencing lower back pain and some swelling in my legs, but overall nothing too out of the ordinary. I have the big glucose screening in two weeks, so pray I don't have gestational diabetes.

We have also started preparing the baby room. I know, pretty plain so far, but we have a big plan. My mom painted the walls for us and we just had the floors refinished and stained. Ryan is going to start on the closet and build a custom made closet/shelving system. Baby Lorei is going to have a bigger closet than his parents! What a lucky little guy! The furniture should be delivered sometime in March, so I will send more pictures in March or April with some updates. Stay tuned...

21 Weeks

Well, what can I say but, I've popped! I notice changes everyday now and baby Lorei is already quite active. I started feeling him kick around 18 weeks and now I feel him almost everyday. I am feeling really good and right on track with weight gain. I have gained about 6 pounds. Our next appointment is this Thursday. I will be 22 weeks. Time is flying and I am happy about that!

My mom, sister and good friend Kara helped me register at Babies R Us on Saturday, then mom, Ryan and I registered at Target on Sunday. We also purchased a crib and dresser (http://www.babysdream.com/Products/Ocean/Default.htm). So it was a pretty productive and overwhelming weekend!

The holidays were great and baby Lorei scored so many great gifts! Thanks to all of our wonderful family and friends he will be quite the trendsetter with his fashionable clothes!

IT"S A BOY!!!!!!

Today we received the best Christmas present ever, we found out we are having a healthy baby boy. We were not sure the little guy was going to show us today. After about five minutes and some taps on the belly from the doctor he finally uncrossed his legs. We already have a little rascal and he is only 18 weeks old. It was amazing and we were blessed to have our parents in the room with us. The heart rate is 137 beats/ minute which is good and strong. There was not a dry eye in the room, the doctor even got a little emotional watching all of our reactions. I am still emotional and cannot wait to feel our little one kick. 15 Week Appointment and Pictures

Weight 123 lbs, Waist: 31"

We had our 15 week appointment yesterday on Monday, November 24th. I started this post earlier this month so disregard the published date. Everything with our pregnancy is right on track. The heart rate is now 145 beats/minute which is normal. We are finally out of the first trimester and looking forward to the next journey :) My belly is growing more and more everyday. Although it is not necessarily obvious in the pictures, I can tell by the way my clothes fit. Only 15 more days until we know the sex of Baby Lorei! What a great Christmas present that will be!! Ryan and I think it is a boy, but we will see. We cannot wait to find out and start decorating the nursery.

12 Week Appointment

We had our second appointment today and it went well. We heard the heartbeat and it was a whopping 160 beats per minute. I asked the doctor if she could guess the sex based on how fast or slow the heartbeat was and she said it is all a myth. Darn! But we did schedule our appointment today to find out the sex of baby Lorei. The date is Thursday, December 11th. I will be 17 weeks, 2 days and they say it is really hard to tell much before 17 or 18 weeks. The nurse said if it was a boy, we would most likely see it early. As of now, most of my family think we are having a boy and some of my girlfriends think it is a girl. Ryan and I think it is a boy, but who knows. We will find out soon! I have not gained any weight or grown anymore since my last pictures so no pictures to post this time.

Exciting News!

We found out about 10 weeks ago that we are pregnant! It took a few pregnancy tests to get a solid yes as you can see, but we did! We had our first doctor appointment on Thursday, October 2nd and it was wonderful because we got to see our little one and it's heartbeat. We are due May 17th and looking forward to this amazing journey. We have posted baby Lorei's first picture and will continue to keep you updated after each visit. Hopefully, we will know the sex of baby Lorei before Christmas. What a wonderful gift that will be! More news to come soon.
