Pops and Reece

Reece loves his Pops! So much that almost every time he talks to Pops on the phone I end up cleaning the slober left behind from his kisses. What a special bond these two have already!! We love you Pops/Dad. Happy Birthday!!

St Louis

We had a fun-filled weekend in St Louis. Our trip included visits to the Magic House, Zoo and Cardinals game. We had such a great time and great weather. The Magic House was incredible. They have expanded it by three times since we had last been. Here is a picture of Reece and I touching the magnetic ball. Look at all that blonde hair!!

Next we headed to the zoo and had a blast. Reece didn't quite make it through without falling asleep, but he gave it a great effort.

Finally, we saw the Cardinals play the Brewers. We had incredible seats. The game went into a few extra innings, but in the end the Cardinals did not win. What a neat stadium!

WE cannot wait to go back.

Memorial Day Weekend

We spent Memorial Day weekend with our family at Lake of the Ozarks. We had beautiful weather and a alot of fun in the sand and water. Here are some pictures of Reece and his cousins Auggie and Jake.

First Refinishing Project

We have been looking for a great deal on an old dresser for our bedroom at the lake house. My mother-in-law found this great dresser that was originally a honey oak finish. I painted it a tomato red, distressed the edges and purchased some new knobs from Anthropologie. Now we have this great vintage piece for next to nothing!! I may have found my new hobby :)

1st Birthday!

I cannot believe that Reece is 1 year old. Where did the time go? Our lives have changed so much in the past year. From finding out that we were pregnant, to bringing our precious little boy into the world and seeing life through his eyes. We are so blessed and so in love with him. I never knew it was possible to love someone so much!!

Thanks my dear son for giving us more than we could ever have asked for. We love you and cannot wait to celebrate many more birthdays and milestones. Some of my favorite things about you are your beautiful blue eyes and your smile that can melt any heart! I love the way you get so excited to see us when we walk in the door and how you love to chase and laugh at your cats, Domino and Chuck. Although, they do not enjoy it :) You are such a happy little boy and you can always turn a bad day into a good day with a simple smile or hug.

Susannah is Engaged!!

Congratulations to Susannah and TJ. They got engaged on Monday. TJ got home from work and tried to prepare quickly to surprise Susannah, but when she showed up a bit earlier than planned he decided to go ahead and propose, but in a different way. They went on their normal evening walk and in their favorite spot TJ pretended to bend down and tie his shoe and instead pulled out his grandmother's ring and asked Susannah to marry him. We are thrilled and cannot wait to welcome TJ into our family. Here is a great picture of the happy couple!!

Happy Easter!

Easter was a beautiful day filled with so many wonderful memories. Here are some great shots of the family at Aunt Viva's. Although, Reece did not really get the concept of hunting for Easter eggs, he still had a great time watching the other kids and playing with the eggs. I just love this shot of Toby and Reece! Priceless. Reece is pretty crazy about his Uncle Toby. I just cannot believe Emry is already a month old. She looked so cute in her little Easter outfit and accessories.
