2 Month Photos

It is hard to believe, but Reece turns 9 weeks old tomorrow. We had his two month pictures taken and had such a blast at the photo shoot! He is quite photogenic and was such a good baby. Below are a few shots.

Reece is doing great! He smile and coos at us every day! Life is good!

1 Month

Reece is 1 month old as of Monday! We saw the doctor on Monday and discovered Reece has reflux. So that is no fun, but he decided to show off for the doctor and reached a big milestone. He rolled over from his belly to his back for the doctor and then again today while on his activity mat. Our little showoff! Of course, I was clapping and Dr Waters was laughing at me! He has also gained a little over a pound since birth. He now weighs 8 lbs 5 oz. Hopefully, he will get to wear some of his 0-3 month clothes, instead of newborn only very soon!

3 Weeks

Reece turned 3 weeks old yesterday and he is growing like a weed! We had my Aunt Viva, my mom and cousins come to see Reece this weekend and had a great time. Here are some pictures of us at Crown Center and a picture of Reece and Ryan relaxing at home.

We are really enjoying our little boy and starting to get to know him better. He definitely keeps us on our toes and awake at night. Hopefully, that will change soon. Otherwise, we are having a great time and enjoying parenthood.

Reece Michael Lorei Has Arrived!

Reece Michael Lorei arrived on Monday, May 18th at 3:17 pm. He weighed 7lbs, 3 oz and was 19 inches long. He is absolutely beautiful and perfectly healthy! We are so in love with him and cannot wait for everyone to meet him.

Today is his 1 week birthday and he is doing great. He has his days and nights mixed up right now so we are dealing with that and not getting much sleep. But, overall he is a great baby and brings us so much joy! I am recovering well, although I am still very sore. We have taken him out for lunch a few times and that went well. Below are some pictures of him.

5 Days To Go!

Hey Everyone,

Thanks so much for checking in on us! We are hanging in there!! I am very uncomfortable and not sleeping much these days. Thank goodness I am not working anymore. We had our final doctor appointment today and baby is doing well. No change unfortunately, but that means we are all set for checking into the hospital on Sunday at 8 pm. They will start the induction on Monday morning if I have not gone into labor before. We are very anxious and can't wait to announce the birth of our baby boy to you all! Thanks again for all your support and love this past 10 months!

37 weeks

Good News!!! We had our final sonogram to see the position of baby Lorei and he is in the correct position and weighs 6 lbs, 1 oz. I am 40% effaced and 1 cm dilated and everything is looking good. Also, here are some pictures of the baby room. I will keep everyone posted!!

I also want to send a big thank you to my Aunt Viva and cousin Heather for the wonderful family shower they hosted for me in Springfield and to my mother-in-law Lois, and sister-in-law Crystal for the wonderful KC shower. We are very blessed and ready for baby Lorei's arrival! He is one lucky little boy!! If anyone has pictures from either shower I would love to post some. Thanks!

8.5 months

Well, we are on the home stretch and so ready to meet the little guy! Things are going well. I am definitely growing by the day and have gained 20 lbs as of my appointment last Thursday. Baby Lorei should weigh around 4-5 lbs at this point. I am growing by the day as you can see below. Everything is getting more difficult to do now! We had our childbirth class last weekend and feel we are as ready as we can be for the big day! Ryan's parents got us the car seat, adaptors and stroller, so we are going to install the car seat adaptors this week. Thanks so much Lois and Glenn!!

Other baby news:

Ryan's brother and sister-in-law had a beautiful baby boy last week and named him August Henry Lorei. Two of my good friends from highschool, Garrett and Ashleigh just had a healthy little boy last week and named him Ely Hawkins! Congrats on the beautiful additions to your families! And to Kari and Stacia who are due this week, we are so excited and cannot wait to hear the news of your babies arrivals!

Below is a glimpse of the baby room and my evergrowing belly. I will post more pics of the baby room once the glider arrives and we have some stuff up on the walls. Thanks to my mom, Ryan, Lois and Grandma Lorei for all the time and help with the baby room. It is so close to being ready!!

31 Weeks

I can't believe it, but only 9 weeks to go if baby Lorei decides to come on time :) Baby is growing rapidly and weighs over 3 lbs. We were able to see our little guy yesterday at our 3D Songram and it was absolutely unbelievable. He is beautiful and healthy! What more could we ask for? As far as looks go, we think he has his mom's eyes and lips and his daddy's nose and face shape. But, make your own assumptions. Here are some of our favorite pics. He also already has quite the personality as he scratched his butt (his grandpa "pops" is so proud) and stuck his tongue out!








I also had my Kansas City baby shower on Saturday hosted by Maggie, Kara, Tara, Becky and Sarah. It was wonderful!! Thank you so much girls for the beautiful shower! You mean so much to me. And thanks to everyone for all the gifts. We are well on our way to being prepared for baby Lorei's arrival. Attached are some pics from the shower. Baby room pics to come soon!

29 weeks and some other fun stuff...

Well, the 3rd and final trimester has begun and I am thrilled about it! Only 11 more weeks (hopefully) before our little guy enters the world! It feels like I cannot grow anymore, but I know that is not the case. I passed the glucose test for gestational diabetes, so that was good news and I had my 29 week appointment today. From this point until 36 weeks I will see the doctor twice a month and then at 36 weeks I will go once a week. Everything is going well, with the exception of sleeping issues and back cramping. It is becoming routine to get up around 3 am a couple times a week to have a bowl of cereal. Strange, but it helps with nausea and I am usually able to go right back to sleep. Major cravings include: anything with strawberries or strawberry flavor, juice and cheese.

I had my first baby shower in St. Louis, hosted by Lindsey and Jenna, my sorority sisters. It was a joint shower for Stacia, Haley and myself. Unfortunately, Stacia could not attend per the doctor's order. We missed you, Stacia! Attached are some pictures. Thanks again to Lindsey and Jenna. It was so much fun!

We also got a new sleeper sofa since baby Lorei will occupy our other bedroom. We are really happy with it and love all the extra seating. We figured why not go ahead and finish the kitchen update we started over a year ago as well and have everything done with the house before the baby arrives, so we had a new dishwasher and range installed. They are wonderful compared to the appliances that were there before. Let's just say, I think they were older than I am!
